The title of this post is the title of the Florida Juvenile Justice Association’s 2013 Adolescent Conference planned for February 19-20, 2013, in Orlando, Florida.
The conference schedule features two dynamic keynote speakers, a wide choice of among 30 workshops, and post-conference comprehensive trainings on domestic minor sex trafficking and building a movement for women and girls in the juvenile justice system.
Workshops include such topics as the impact of generational poverty; restorative justice; interventions for at-risk female gang members; peer mentorship; and bridging the gap for young male offenders without fathers.
The post-conference one-day training on girls in the system is sponsored by The Children’s Campaign and The Delores Barr Weaver Policy Center, whose President-CEO is Lawanda Ravoira.
