National Campaign to Reform State Juvenile Justice Systems

Juvenile justice-related job listings often come across my desk (via email usually), and I’ll post them here whenever possible.  For instance, here are two interesting policy and research positions:

Project Coordinator (New York City)

The Organization
M+R Strategic Services, a public affairs firm dedicated to helping nonprofits, seeks a Project Coordinator. At M+R, we run campaigns that work — fighting for civil rights, protecting our environment, pushing for new cures to cruel diseases and working on behalf of the broad public interest. Every day, we recruit supporters, raise money, generate media attention, and run sophisticated integrated advocacy campaigns for groups working on the most important issues of the day.

National Juvenile Justice Project
Several national and local foundations have formed a funding collaborative to support The National Campaign to Reform State Juvenile Justice Systems, a multi-year effort to provide states with strategic resources to accelerate juvenile justice reforms.  M+R has been hired to coordinate this effort.

The campaign consists of a small management team led by the Campaign Director along with a Campaign Manager, field staff, and the Director of Policy and Research.  To further its work, the campaign has retained the services of consultants in more than a dozen states and plans to expand during the coming year.  The Project Coordinator will be based in New York, report to the Campaign Manager, and will work with other national and state campaign staff.
